
Woodlands 1 (previously known as Holborough) is an old chalk pit of 5 acres in size with an average depth of 18 feet. The dominant species are carp as there is an estimated 500+ fish with an average weight of between 8-12lb with fish up to 26lb. Also present are a few roach, perch, bream, tench and pike.
There are 20 swims on this lake and at any one time the maximum amount of anglers allowed to fish is limited to 15. The maximum amount of rods on this complex is 2 from 1 st May to 30 th September and 3 from 1 st October to 31 st March. The lake is closed for the month of April to allow essential maintenance works to be carried out. There is a secure, locked car park at this lake for which all members are given a key.
Membership is available on a separate ticket and is strictly limited to 50 anglers with day tickets also available through our on-site bailiff, Les Withey on 07970 229113.
